George Knight, CNP has been practicing in geriatrics since 1998. In 2001 he co-founded Medical Housecalls providing primary care for the homebound elderly. He has extensive experience managing patients in skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, and private residences. He also provided comprehensive geriatric assessment for 13 years which involved the diagnosis and treatment of all forms of dementia. He has been an expert speaker for multiple pharmaceutical companies including Novartis and Forest Pharmaceuticals for whom he spoke nationally on the diagnosis and treatment of Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s Disease Dementia. He has a passion for managing dementia patients ensuring good outcomes and the highest quality of life possible. Mr. Knight has assisted in the development of several palliative care programs and is vastly experienced in treating hospice patients through the end of life.
Lisa House is a registered nurse and our practice manager. She is a graduate of Bethesda Hospital School of Nursing, with 36 years of nursing experience. Her focus has always been that the patient is the center of all care provided. Her nursing career has encompassed long term and skilled care, med-surg nursing, and case management. She has been awarded the Daisy Award for her extroadinary compassionate nursing skills and has twice been nominated for the Florence Nightingale Award for nursing excellence.
Isabel Abba-Mesue is a certified Family Nurse Practioner. For a majority of her medical career, Isabel has focused on elderly and homebound patients. She is married with three children and has lived in Cincinnati, Ohio for years. Before settling down in Cincinnati, Isabel went to medical school in Maryland and briefly lived in Atlanta, Georgia.
Laura Nortman is a family nurse practitioner specializing in primary care for the home bound and elderly. She earned her diploma in nursing from Georgia Baptist School of Nursing in Atlanta, Georgia before completing her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Mount St Joseph University. She earned her Masters of Nursing Science with Family Nurse Practitioner from Purdue University. Laura is board certified with the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She has been twice nominated for the Florence Nightingale Award for Excellence in Nursing. Laura is a member of the Ohio Association of Advanced Practice Nurses. Laura is a member of the Ohio Association of Advanced Practice Nurses.
Lauren Bechtel is a Board Certified Nurse Practioner in family medicine. She received her Master’s of Science in Advanced Nursing from Indiana Wesleyan University. Lauren began her health career at a Level 1 trauma center in Cincinnati, Ohio in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Her NICU experience illustrated how building trust with patients and their families could influence positive outcomes. Lauren has a passion for streamlining patient care by supporting clinicians and specialists to be closer to the patient at the right time and in the right place of their healthcare journey. Lauren often says “Our patients don’t care about what we know; until they know how much we care.” Lauren helps build a healthcare team around her patients by creating an environment for everyone to advocate for them, especially on the hard days. On a personal note, Lauren is married to her husband Joe, and enjoys traveling and discussing their dreams together.
